Black crystals of potassium chlorine are grown in the shape of a square for one month. Resulting in giant mono-crystals, they manifest the simple suprematist structures of the microworld on a macroscopic scale. As Pavel Filonov used to say: “Art should no longer imitate nature, but rather the processes of nature”. The crystals have to be protected under a transparent cover because of their dynamic electro-chemical exchange with the environment
